Red Carpet Motel

The motel is situated in a very quiet area, just a 15-20 minute walk to the centre of Mt Gambier. It is on a large block with an extensive grassed area, a pool and garden space. Guests enjoy free on-site parking.

All of the rooms have air-conditioners and en-suites with showers. They are all equipped with hairdryers, flat-screen TVs, refrigerators, kettles, toasters and microwaves. The Queen rooms have both a dining and a sitting area, the Queen plus 1 single bed rooms have a dining area and the Queen plus 2 single beds rooms have a desk area.

Please advise when booking if a ground floor room is preferred (subject to availability). If a ground floor room is essential, please let us know when you are booking so we can tell you if it is possible and record this on your booking.

Red Carpet Motel is a five minute drive from Blue Lake, an eight minute drive to Engelbrecht Cave and a five minute drive to Cave Garden. The popular Coonawarra wine region is just a forty minute scenic drive away.

Reception Hours : 8 am to 7 pm every day. Closed for lunch from 12 to 1 pm. Extended hours during summer.
After Hours : Contact reception if you are arriving outside Reception office hours to arrange a late checkin. If you leave early, please lock your keys in your room.
Car Parking : Free off-street parking. Space for buses, trailers, camper-vans and larger vehicles
Getting There : Train, bus and airport facilities available in Mount Gambier.

Currently there is no restaurant operating on site. There are many restaurants in Mt Gambier as well as take-aways. Some are nearby. You may eat in your room. There is a microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery in each room. No cooking or personal cooking equipment is allowed in the rooms. With notice, a Continental Breakfast tray can be provided in your room, at an additional cost of $10 per person.

Cancellation Policy

Bookings cancelled less than 24 hours of the arrival date will incur a charge of $50. Shortening your stay also requires 24 hour notice or a fee of $50 applies. This will be taken from the credit card supplied at the time of booking.
A no-show will incur the same charge.
There are no charges made for cancellations because of Covid restrictions and Border Closures.

Child Policy

Children under the age of 15 sleeping in existing bedding will not be charged.

Check-in Policy

Full payment is expected at the time of arrival. Photo Id is required at check-in.

Other Policy
